In the U20-U23 European Championship that took place in Bucharest, Romania, 4 athletes of the Albanian national team, Enkileda Carja, Ertjan Kofsha, Sajmir Lagja and Samoel Rrasa, took part.
On 28.07.2023, Enkileda Carja competed in the 59KG weight, ranking sixth in Europe with 187KG in total in the doubles, breaking a European record for U15. We must emphasize that our athlete was the youngest in age with a minimum of 2 years difference from the other competitors.
On the same date, the 15-year-old athlete Samoel Rrasa also competed, ranking sixth in Europe. Both athletes competed with about 30 competitors.
On 31.07.2023, the champion Ertjan Kofsha competed with an excellent performance, surprising us by grabbing 3 medals. A gold medal in the breakaway style with 153 KG, a bronze medal in the push style with 184 KG and an overall bronze medal in the two events with 337 KG.
In this activity, Albania was well represented by 4 athletes: Ertjan Kofsha, Sajmir Lagja, Samoel Rrasa and Enkileda Carja.
With these athletes and with many others, today we say with full mouth that Albanian weightlifting has a bright and safe future..
